Twelve Times!

On Saturday, we celebrated Jacob's 12th birthday. I honestly can't believe that he is twelve. Where did the time go? He is changing right before our eyes thanks to those wonderful pre teen hormones. Through it all, Jacob continues to be a great example to his younger siblings. For his birthday, Jacob asked if he could have a campout with the boys in his class. Since there are only six boys, Jeff offered to take them on a hike and then pitch a tent. The boys had a great time. By 8:30 the next morning everyone had hiked back to our house after being up since 5. The parents were suppose to pick them up until 10 so we let Jacob open his gifts and the boys hung out.

The best gift of the bunch, an indoor remote control helicopter. It even kept Joshua's attention.

Later on in the day after naps, we had a family birthday party complete with cake. I think Jacob enjoyed his special celebration.

What! you mean Jacob liked the rc helicopter better than that cool flash/camping lite send to him by his loving grandparents :-). Guess that's understandable, especially cuz he didn't have it to try out on the campout. Sounds like it was a cool birthday celebration, first w/the guys and later w/his special family. Glad we got to SKYPE and later talk. See you in less than two months.

What a great glee club Jacob had to serenade him on his special day.
I love that Old Navy hooded fleece Jacob has on in most of his winter pictures. Glad to see that he has gotten so much use out of it this year.
